Lazarus Muchabaiwa

Lazarus Muchabaiwa currently serves as a Health Systems and Pandemics Financing Adviser at UNAIDS, a position held since June 2023. Prior to this role, Lazarus was a Senior Lecturer at Bindura University of Science Education from March 2010 to May 2023, focusing on health economics, quantitative methods, investment analysis, and macroeconomics at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Additionally, Lazarus worked as a Health Economist at the University of Zimbabwe Clinical Research Centre from March 2008 to March 2010, where responsibilities included economic evaluation of clinical trials, data collection, analysis, and stakeholder liaison. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (2016-2021) and both BSc and MSc degrees in Economics from the University of Zimbabwe (2003-2008).
