Ivona Contardo

Ivona Contardo, Ph.D has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Ivona is currently the Head of Machine Learning and AI at Unbounce, a fast-growing tech company that helps marketers optimize their marketing campaigns using AI insights. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Analytics, Data Science, and Operational Excellence at Wrk, where they combined advanced automation technology with a skilled community to fulfill companies' work needs. Ivona also worked at Symend as the Director of Data Science, where they used behavioral engagement platforms to deliver personalized customer experiences. Ivona held multiple positions at Symend, including Manager of Advanced Analytics, Senior Data Scientist, and Lead Data Scientist. Earlier in their career, Ivona worked as an AI Analyst at Golden Arrow Bus Services Pty Ltd and as a Lecturer at Stellenbosch University, where they taught statistics courses. Ivona also worked as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Washington, conducting research on multi-label classification and statistical process control techniques. Additionally, they served as a Part-time Lecturer at the IMM Graduate School of Marketing and as an Assistant to the Lead IT Architect at British American Tobacco.

Ivona Contardo, Ph.D has a diverse educational background in Statistics and Economics. Ivona holds an M.Comm degree, a B.Comm degree, and an Hons B.Comm degree from Stellenbosch University. Ivona also completed their Ph.D in Statistics from the same university.
