Cathy Moore

Cathy Moore, PhD, RBP, serves as the Biosafety Officer and IBC Coordinator at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte since February 2012, where responsibilities include instructing Responsible and Ethical Conduct of Research courses and managing the UNC Charlotte COVID-19 Testing Center. Additionally, Cathy is an IBC Member at WCG, reviewing and approving clinical research to ensure compliance with NIH biosafety regulations. Previous experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Carolinas Healthcare System and research positions at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Academically, Cathy holds a PhD in Biology/Biological Sciences and a Bioinformatics Applications Certificate from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, along with a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Vanderbilt University.
