Cory Brouwer

Cory Brouwer is an accomplished professional in the fields of bioinformatics and genomics with extensive experience in academic and industry settings. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Research at the University of North Carolina's NCRC since October 2017, Cory also holds the position of Professor and Director of Bioinformatics Services at UNC Charlotte since April 2010. Previous roles include various leadership positions at Pfizer Ltd., where responsibilities encompassed managing computational sciences and global strategies, as well as positions at CuraGen and Pioneer Hi-Bred International, specializing in bioinformatics and computational biology. Cory Brouwer earned a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Iowa State University between 1993 and 1998.
