Hamed Tabkhi is an Associate Professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte since August 2016, focusing on integrating advancements in machine learning, deep learning, and data analytics to improve community well-being, with notable projects funded by the NSF. Additionally, Hamed is a co-founder and CTO of ForesightCares, where innovative AI technologies are developed to enhance care for older adults. Previously, Hamed served as CTO of Hummingbirds AI, leading the creation of continuous AI-based authentication systems. Hamed's experience also includes a postdoctoral position at Northeastern University, where embedded architecture for real-time vision processing was explored, as well as roles at Analog Devices and Qualcomm, contributing to processor design and embedded vision solutions. Hamed holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Northeastern University and an M.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
