Tierra Burns

Tierra Burns is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in academia, mental health, and military service. As the Owner and CEO of Tierra Burns, LLC since January 2021, Tierra also serves as a Professor in Africana Studies at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, focusing on African American Political Philosophy and African American Religion and Politics. In addition, Tierra provides mental health support as a SAP Counselor at Iredell-Statesville Schools and has authored the book "Bombarding Heaven in Unity: A Prayer Book for Healing." Prior military service includes roles as a Chaplain Candidate in the US Army, where religious services were offered to soldiers and families, and a Social Worker at the Veterans Administration. Tierra's educational background includes multiple advanced degrees in social work and divinity from institutions such as the University of Southern California, Fuller Theological Seminary, and Pepperdine University, along with a dual undergraduate degree from North Carolina Central University.
