Barb Biehner

Barb Biehner is an experienced healthcare professional currently serving as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of North Carolina Wilmington since August 2021, while also teaching part-time in the Operations Management Department at UNCW Cameron School of Business since July 2011. Barb is the President of Health Initiatives, LLC, providing consulting and advocacy services for healthcare organizations and vulnerable populations. A former co-chair for a New Hanover County committee, Barb led an analysis of the future of NHRMC from October 2019 to November 2020. Additional experience includes roles as Hospital Administrator at Animal Emergency and Trauma Hospital, Executive in Residence at UNCW, Senior Vice President at Accredo Healthcare, and CEO of Bon Secours Holy Family Hospital. Barb holds a Master’s in Health Administration from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Arts from Emory University.
