Laurie Minns is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Research at the University of North Carolina Wilmington since August 2021 and serves as a Faculty Representative for the Consortium of Academic Programs in Clinical Research starting April 2024. Laurie is also an Executive Board Member of the Glioblastoma Support Network since January 2020. Previous academic appointments include Assistant Professor and Lecturer in Biology at the University of Montana from June 2010 to July 2021, where responsibility included curriculum design and management of laboratory instructors and teaching assistants. Laurie's industry experience includes roles as an Investigator at Totem BioSciences focused on new drug discovery for Animal Health, a Scientist at Immune Design Corp. leading clinical immune monitoring projects, a Postdoctoral Scientist at GSK conducting preclinical vaccine studies, and a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Dartmouth Medical School engaged in translational research on Multiple Sclerosis. Laurie completed a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and holds Bachelor's degrees in Microbiology and Psychology from the University of Montana.
