Terry Shirley

Terry Shirley is an experienced academic and meteorologist with a significant tenure at UNC Charlotte since July 2006, serving as the Associate Chair in the Department of Earth, Environmental and Geographical Sciences. Courses taught include various subjects in physical geography and meteorology, both in-person and online. As the Meteorology Undergraduate Coordinator, responsibilities encompass advising incoming majors and minors, liaising with the Career Center, and participating in student-oriented events. Additionally, Terry Shirley is an Adjunct Professor at the University of North Carolina Wilmington since July 2021, teaching remote meteorology courses. Prior experience includes a role as a Lecturer at Bloomsburg University and graduate studies at Penn State University, where both an MS and a BS in Meteorology were earned.
