Jim Poolman

Jim Poolman is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the banking, financial services, and hospitality sectors. Currently serving as the Managing Partner at Hotel Donaldson since April 2022, Jim also holds positions on the Board of Directors at First International Bank & Trust and as a member of the Forbes Finance Council. As Chair of the Board of Directors for the University of North Dakota Alumni Association & Foundation since September 2017, Jim plays a key leadership role in advancing the institution's initiatives. With a long-standing commitment to education and consumer awareness, Jim has been the Executive Director of the IALC since 2011, focusing on the benefits of indexed annuities. Additionally, Jim is the President and Managing Partner of Blarney Stone Pub and operates Jim Poolman Consulting Inc., providing regulatory consulting services nationwide. Formerly, Jim served as North Dakota's Insurance Commissioner and was a commissioner at the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. Jim holds a BBA in Marketing and Management from the University of North Dakota.
