Akiko SATO is an experienced attorney and advocate specializing in business and human rights law, currently serving as an Attorney at Kotonoha Law since April 2018, where responsibilities include advising on human rights due diligence from an international perspective and engaging in advocacy work to enhance human rights conditions. Akiko also holds positions as a Special Advisor at Pillar Two, Business and Human Rights Project Liaison Officer for UNDP, Liaison Officer at the Japan Forum of Business and Society, Co-founder and Advocate at Social Connection for Human Rights, Deputy Secretary General at Human Rights Now, and an Officer at the Business and Human Rights Lawyers Network Japan.
