Academic Partner at UNDP

Maximilian H. Theissen is a Doctoral Candidate in Strategic Management and Leadership at TU Dortmund University since January 2023. Currently serving as an Academic Partner for UNDP SDG Impact, Maximilian contributes to developing resources aimed at accelerating investments towards achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. Previous experience includes working as a Team Member for a stealth-mode Single Family Office, where responsibilities involved establishing a 100 million EUR investment office, and as Founding Manager of the Family Wealth Impact Summit, which collaborated with UNDP to engage young wealth leaders in discussions on impactful investing. Additionally, Maximilian has held research positions at WHU Institute of Family Business & Mittelstand and ESMT Berlin, and has conducted external research at the University of Cambridge, publishing academic manuscripts. Educational credentials include a Master of Philosophy from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Science from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, along with studies at Rotterdam School of Management and University of Münster.
