Valerie Gunderson

Val Gunderson is the office manager at UNeMed. She manages many behind the scenes and day-to-day operations for the department and its staff including administrative processes, HR hiring & policies, employee compliance requirements, campus safety and recognition programs, as well as meeting and event planning and anything else that comes up. Val has been on campus for over 30 years, and has had the distinct privilege of working with some of UNMC’s brightest leaders on many groundbreaking programs and initiatives. Val is the recipient of two Silver U Awards and the Chancellor’s Gold U Award.
