Jorge Hinojosa

Jorge Hinojosa is a seasoned professional in climate finance and sustainability, currently serving as a Nature Economy Programme Officer at UNEP-WCMC since July 2023. Previous roles include Sustainable Finance Specialist for the Latin American Climate Asset Disclosure Initiative at Iniciativa Climática de México and Sustainable Finance Partner at Weather Trade Net. Hinojosa has also held positions with prominent organizations such as the Center for Clean Air Policy, UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre, and the Inter-American Development Bank, among others. Hinojosa holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Master of Science in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science from Lund University, and a Master of Science in Finance & Business Economics from Alliance Manchester Business School, complemented by certifications in Climate & Renewable Energy Finance from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. Educational experience includes studies at prestigious institutions such as Columbia University and The London School of Economics.
