Didem Durmaz Michenet

Didem Durmaz Michenet has a diverse and extensive background in various positions related to digital solutions, project management, and business development. Didem is currently working at UNESCO as the Head of Solution Design and Implementation in the Digital Bureau of Solutions. Prior to this, they held multiple roles at OECD - OCDE, including Head of Division for Digital Solutions Design and Counsellor for Digital, Knowledge, and Information. Didem also founded The Startup Atelier and served as a Co-founder of Histoire de cadeau, an online concept store. Didem has experience in business development as the Director of WW Partners at CAST and in strategic sales at Hewlett-Packard. Didem has also worked at Accenture, Atos Origin, and United Airlines, Inc., where they held various managerial and project lead roles. Additionally, they have teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at Virginia Tech in the Computer Science Department. Didem Durmaz Michenet received their BS in Computer Science & Engineering from Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey, in 1995. Didem then pursued an MS in Computer Engineering at Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey, from 1996 to 1998. In 1998-1999, Didem completed another MS, this time in Computer Science, at Virginia Tech (Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University) in Virginia, USA.
