Mark Terry, PhD, serves as the Executive Director of the Youth Climate Report since January 2011 and holds the position of Course Director in the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies at York University, where courses on Indigenous People and Media, Digital Media and Journalism, and Contemporary Communication Theory are taught. Additionally, Mark acts as an Adjunct Professor at Wilfrid Laurier University and a Climate Action Specialist with Adventure Canada. Mark leads the Social and Environmental Sustainability Program for the City of Vaughan, having created a certification program for local businesses aligned with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. Mark is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, an author with Palgrave Macmillan, and maintains partnerships with UNESCO and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Academic qualifications include a PhD and MA in Humanities from York University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in English and Media Arts Studies.
