Nate Brown

Nate Brown has a diverse range of work experience, with their most recent role being the Chief Learning Officer at UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, starting in 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Op's Mgmt & Finance Learning Unit at the same organization from 2022 to 2023. From 2016 to 2022, Nate worked as the Global Head of L&D at VisionFund International, where they oversaw the development and implementation of learning programs and processes for over 7,000 employees. Before that, they held various positions, including Client Education Manager at VisionFund International, Adjunct Professor at Eastern University, and Financial Analyst at World Vision. Nate's earlier experiences include roles as Sr. Account Executive at Christian Community Credit Union, Independent Management Consultant at The National Center For American Indian Enterprise Development, and Management Consultant at Strategic Sourcing Associates, where they led project teams and provided cost reduction strategies and financial analyses.

Nate Brown earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Hotel Administration from Cornell University between 1997 and 2001. Nate then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in International Economic Development from Eastern University in 2001-2002. Nate has also obtained numerous certifications in various subjects, such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Creating Inclusive Learning Experiences, Data-Driven Learning Design, and others.
