Sarah-Jane Savage is currently the Senior Protection Officer and Head of Asylum, Policy and Law Unit at UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency. Sarah-Jane has extensive experience in refugee protection, asylum systems, and policy development in various countries in Africa. Prior to their current role, Sarah-Jane served as an Advisor to UNHCR Operations in Refugee Status Determination and Asylum Systems. Sarah-Jane has also worked as a Psychotherapist with refugee populations and as a volunteer providing support to field volunteers in refugee camps. Sarah-Jane holds a Master's degree in Psychodynamic Theory & Practice and a Master of Science in Forced Migration.
