Sophie Xu-Tang

Sophie Xu-Tang is an experienced tutor currently employed at Manning's Tutors Ltd and UniAdmissions, starting in November 2019. Sophie also served as Treasurer and Communications Officer for the UCL Dance Society from July 2021 to December 2022. A Corporate Finance Intern at EY for one month in mid-2022, Sophie gained valuable corporate experience. In summer 2021, Sophie worked as a Student Researcher at IOE - UCL's Faculty of Education and Society on the ASPIRES 3 research project, focusing on educational and career aspirations in STEM. The role involved quantitative analysis using SPSS and qualitative analysis with NVivo, culminating in findings for a policy report and written contributions to the project blog. Sophie is currently pursuing a Master of Philosophy in Development Studies at the University of Cambridge, having previously earned a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences from UCL. Sophie completed secondary education at Manchester High School for Girls.
