Sevaun Palvetzian

Sevaun Palvetzian has a diverse work experience spanning various sectors and organizations. Sevaun is currently the President and CEO of UNICEF Canada, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Fellow and Executive Advisor for ESG at the University of Toronto - Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy, starting in 2022. From 2020 to 2022, they were the Chief Communications Officer at Rogers Communications, where they led communications and ESG & corporate responsibility efforts. Before joining Rogers, Sevaun was the Chief Executive Officer of CivicAction from 2014 to 2020, where they led various civic engagement initiatives. Sevaun also held several senior executive roles within the Government of Ontario from 2004 to 2014, focusing on strategy, program delivery, and communications. Sevaun's earlier experiences include working in the Division of Advancement at the University of Toronto and as a Consultant in the Trust Funds Division at the International Finance Corporation, part of The World Bank Group. Sevaun began their career as the International Programming Director at Presidential Classroom.

Sevaun Palvetzian attended Harvard Business School in 2018, where they completed a program called "Strategic Perspectives in NonProfit Management." Prior to that, they pursued their education at Western University, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in History and a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors. Sevaun's education also includes participation in the Ivey Executive Program at Ivey Business School, although specific dates of enrollment are not mentioned.
