Fahmida Khan

Ms. Fahmida Khan is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in gender and development, particularly within the contexts of HIV/AIDS, women's rights, and community mobilization. Currently serving as a Gender and Development Specialist at UNICEF since July 2023, Ms. Khan previously contributed to UNAIDS for almost a decade, where the role as Community Support Advisor focused on enhancing the leadership of people living with HIV and advocating for human rights and gender equality. Prior roles include Programme Specialist at UNWOMEN, Programme Officer in Gender, VAW, and HIV/AIDS, and various positions in humanitarian organizations like CARE International, the American Red Cross, and Catholic Relief Services. Holding an MS/MPhil in Management Sciences from SZABIST and an M.Sc. in Political Studies from Quaid-i-Azam University, Ms. Khan's expertise spans program development, advocacy, and legislative support in the domain of gender equality and health.
