Majd Sharia

Majd Sharia is an experienced professional in protection and social work, currently serving as the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Coordinator for UNRWA since September 2020. Prior roles at UNRWA include Protection Associate for Child and Family Protection and Assistant Project Officer for the UNRWA.GIZ Strategic Partnership Project. Majd has also worked as a Social Work Consultant for Ibtikar for Empowerment and Social Entrepreneurship and the Palestine Children's Relief Fund. Earlier career experiences include positions with the Danish Refugee Council, where roles ranged from Protection Assistant to Child Friendly Space Assistant, and project coordination at the Students' Forum Institute and Water and Environmental Development Organization. Education includes a Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Düsseldorf and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Al-Quds University.
