Penni Berns is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in digital strategy and marketing. Currently serving as Chief of Digital Strategy at UNICEF since November 2015, Penni leads a global team to enhance public awareness and engagement for vulnerable children while driving digital transformation initiatives across 190 countries. Prior to UNICEF, Penni held various leadership positions at American Express from 2000 to 2014, including VP of Global Marketing & Digital Strategy and VP, General Manager of High Value Customer, where strategic marketing assets and customer insights were developed for extensive payment portfolios. Penni holds an MBA in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business and a B.A. in Economics and English from Tufts University.
