Chris Sandin has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply chain industry.

Beginning in 1992, Sandin worked for companies like Pharmacia Upjohn, Pharmacia, and Adria, where they served as a Senior Production Supervisor responsible for overseeing various production activities related to component preparation, filling, formulation equipment decontamination, and lyophilization.

In 1998, Sandin joined SP Pharmaceuticals LLC as the Manager of Manufacturing Technology. Their responsibilities included managing the site lyophilization operation and overseeing the scale-up from a pilot facility to commercial lyophilizers. Chris was also involved in the development of User Requirement Specifications for manufacturing equipment and contributed to expansion planning efforts.

From 2000 to 2003, Sandin worked at Cardinal Health PTS/BSLS as a Senior Manager of Plant Operations. Chris successfully implemented a facility volume growth strategy, increasing annual units from 30M to 100M. Sandin also led change efforts and process improvement programs, interacted with regulatory agencies, and managed fill finish operations.

Starting in 2003, Sandin held the position of Senior Manager of Corporate Operations at Cardinal Health PTS (now Catalent). Chris managed the expansion of the Humacao Puerto Rico facility, oversaw product technology transfers, and implemented new filling lines. Chris also played a role in major batch record rewrites and the implementation of a new ERP system.

From 2007 to 2014, Sandin served as the Director of Corporate Operations at Fresenius Kabi, focusing on supply chain management and sales and operational planning. Their responsibilities included overseeing communications and processes, facilitating S&OP meetings, and providing regular updates on product supply and manufacturing issues.

In 2014, Sandin joined Akorn, Inc as an Executive Director of Strategic Operations. Chris was responsible for the daily operations of a four-plant campus in India, which manufactured sterile and solid dose pharmaceutical products. Chris also managed strategic planning for the facilities and participated in portfolio alignment based on technical capabilities.

Sandin then served as the Vice President of Operations at Leiter's Compounding from 2015 to 2016. In this role, they were responsible for the manufacturing of sterile and non-sterile pharmaceuticals, overseeing multiple manufacturing sites, concept and construction of new manufacturing sites, and FDA compliance remediation.

From 2017 to 2021, Sandin worked at Sagent Pharmaceuticals as the Vice President of Global Alliance Management. Their responsibilities included managing global alliances, and they played a key role in the development and launch of various pharmaceutical products.

Finally, Sandin is currently working as an Independent Consultant in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Supply Chain.

Chris Sandin has a diverse education history. In 1993, they attended Central New Mexico Community College, where they pursued General Studies with a focus on Human Anatomy, Physiology, and Biology. Later, they enrolled at the University of Phoenix and graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management.

Chris then went on to complete a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at the University of Phoenix in 2001. In 1999, they received training in CFR Part 11 from SP Pharma, which covered Introduction, Assessment, and Compliance.

Throughout 2000, Chris undertook Aseptic Filtration Theory training at PALL Filter Group. The following year, they received Aseptic Processing Theory training from Parexel Group. In 2003, they attended a training session on the Universe of Pre-Filled Syringes organized by the Parenteral Drug Association (PDA).

Around 2004, Chris received Robotics training from Square D, specifically focusing on Automation Software Intellution Fix, AB, Modicon, and Wonderware. In 2005, they completed Lean Six Sigma Sponsor-Level Training through Cardinal PTS.

In 2009, Chris attended multiple training sessions. Firstly, they completed Financial Modeling Analysis Using DCF and NPV training at the APP Pharmaceuticals PMO Office. Chris also received Legal Training in Patent Litigation under the Hatch-Waxman Act from APP Pharmaceuticals. Moreover, they acquired knowledge in Lycophilization Theory of SVP from MKCS, Inc. Furthermore, they received E-Pedigree & Mass Serialization training from Supply Scape, focusing on Anti-Drug Counterfeiting Programs.

In 2011, Chris acquired expertise in handling Orange Book Paragraph IV Case Studies & Strategies through a training program offered by APP Pharmaceuticals. One year later, in 2012, they completed training in Demand Planning with a specialization in SAP - APO at Fresenius Kabi. Additionally, they attended IGRAFX Business Process Management (BPM) Training at IGRAFX and completed a Project Management Professional Prep Course from the Project Management Institute during the same year.
