Rachel Bagshaw

Rachel Bagshaw is an accomplished theatre professional with extensive experience in directing and artistic leadership. Currently serving as Artistic Director and Associate Director at Unicorn Theatre since November 2019, Rachel also contributes as a Coach and Facilitator for Support Squad since November 2020. A seasoned Freelance Theatre Director since 2010, Rachel's work includes a tenure as the Peter Hall Bursary Associate at the National Theatre from November 2022 to April 2025 and as Resident Assistant Director at Young Vic from September 2010 to October 2011. Previously, Rachel managed Training and Learning Projects at Graeae Theatre from 2005 to 2010, where duties included directing productions and developing an extensive training programme. Rachel holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Theatre Directing from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and a BA in Theatre Studies with Music from the University of Lancaster, alongside ongoing training through the National Theatre Studio Directors' course.
