Mert Efe Sarbal is a dedicated student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering at Sabancı University, with an additional academic opportunity at Univerza v Mariboru. Mert has held leadership positions as Co President, Vice President, and Board Member at the Sabancı University Economics and Business Club since January 2022. Currently, Mert serves as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the PURE program, focusing on image understanding with deep neural networks in a project involving UK Biobank OCT scans. Mert also acts as a Campus Ambassador for Unicourse and completed a volunteer internship as a Software Engineer Intern at Zirve Bilgisayar Ltd. Şti. in the summer of 2023. Previous educational experience includes a Computer Engineering degree at Hacettepe University and attendance at İzmir Buca High School of Science.
