Carlo Vivaldi

Co-Chief Operating Officer at UniCredit

Carlo Vivaldi is currently the Co-Chief Operating Officer at UniCredit. Carlo has previously served as the Deputy CEO and Deputy Chairman of the Board at Yapı Kredi from February 2011 to January 2015. Yapı Kredi is the #4 private bank in Turkey and is a joint venture between UniCredit and Koç Holding. The company is listed and has a 10% market share with $60b in assets, 10m customers, 1,000 branches, and 18,000 employees. Vivaldi also served as the Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board for YapiKredi Asset Management, YapiKredi Invest, YapiKredi Azerbaijan, YapiKredi Bank Moscow, YapiKredi Bank Malta, Allianz Pension Fund, and YapiKredi Koray Investment Trust during their time at Yapı Kredi.

Prior to their role at Yapı Kredi, Vivaldi served as the Chief Financial Officer at UniCredit from January 2003 to September 2007. During this time, they were responsible for the restructuring of Kocbank and the acquisition of YapiKredi Bank followed by the merger of the two banks (the largest banking merger in Turkey ever). Carlo also led the integration and relaunch of the newly merged bank.

From April 1999 to December 2002, Vivaldi served as the Head of Planning for UniCredit's CEE Division. Prior to that,

Carlo Vivaldi was educated at the Università Ca' Foscari Venezia, where they studied economics and commerce.

Their manager is Andrea Orcel, CEO. They work with Roberta Marracino - Head of Group ESG Strategy & Impact Banking, Michael Diederich - Country Chairman Germany, and Marco Bressan - Group Data & Analytics Officer.
