Steve Lech has extensive experience in local history and planning, currently serving as Vice-Chair of the Riverside County Historical Commission and a Local History Columnist for The Press-Enterprise. Since 2004, Steve has been recognized as a Local Historian in the Riverside County area. Previously, Steve held the position of Chair for the City of Riverside Cultural Heritage Board from 2015 to 2022, and worked as a Park Planner for the Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District from 2001 to 2014. Earlier roles include serving as a Recycling Specialist and Planner for the Riverside County Waste Resources Management District from 1993 to 2001. Steve earned a B.S. in Anthropology/Geography from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona between 1981 and 1985.
