Chris-James Cognetta

Chris-James Cognetta has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Chris-James currently serves as the Vice President - Client Education at UniFocus since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Ford Lincoln from 2014 to 2022 as the Human Capital Development Director, where they were responsible for training and development programs and implementing systems to support optimum customer service scores.

Before joining Ford Lincoln, Chris-James served as the Adjunct Faculty and later as the Director of Instructional Technology at Dallas College from 1993 to 2018. In these roles, they developed training programs, managed multimedia production groups, and expanded the curriculum to include new media.

Chris-James also worked as a Human Capital Development Consultant at Inform Diagnostics from 2013 to 2014, where they guided the development of human capital strategies and implemented IT solutions to support HR functions. From 2010 to 2013, they served as the Chair of the Board at Youth First Texas, an LGBTQA organization for youth.

In addition, Chris-James has held positions at VOSS, ArganoKeste, HP Autonomy, Xerox Services, and the Ford Foundation, where they contributed to various aspects of training and development, curriculum development, and technology implementation.

Chris-James Cognetta completed their education as follows:

- From 2007 to 2010, they attended Southern Methodist University and earned a Master's degree in Counseling.

- In 1988 to 1989, they pursued a Master's degree in Instructional Systems Development at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.

- Prior to that, from 1986 to 1988, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Public Health from St. John's University.

- Earlier, from 1984 to 1986, they completed an Associate's degree in Liberal Arts at St. John's University.

In addition to their academic achievements, Chris-James Cognetta also acquired the following certifications:

- In April 2017, they became a Licensed Professional Counselor, obtaining this credential from the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors.

- Chris-James obtained the status of Licensed Professional Counselor-Intern in March 2013, certified by the Texas Board of Examiners.
