Jason Harcup

Jason Harcup has extensive experience in research and development, serving as Chief R&D Officer and Global Vice President of R&D for the Prestige Division at Unilever from September 2016 to January 2024. In this role, Jason led R&D initiatives for the mass and masstige core business while overseeing R&D leadership in mergers and acquisitions for the Prestige Division, which includes brands such as Murad, Dermalogica, and Tatcha. Additionally, Jason held the position of Head of R&D for the New Business Creation Unit at the Royal Society of Chemistry from March 2021 to December 2022, and co-chaired a working group on race equality in the industry. Jason's academic background includes a BA and MA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and a PhD in Polymer Physics from the University of Leeds. Jason also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Michigan from May 1997 to May 1999.
