Valia Sakkou is an accomplished Digital-Media-Commerce Strategy Lead at Unilever, with extensive experience in managing digital marketing and media strategies across multiple European markets. Since October 2017, Valia has held various leadership roles, including overseeing the media and digital transformation for Personal Care brands across 23 countries, and leading digital initiatives in Southeastern Europe. Valia's career also includes roles as Group Media Director and Media Director at Initiative, where strategic media planning was executed for major clients such as Unilever, BMW, and IKEA. Valia holds a Master of Arts in Mass Communication/Media Studies from the University of Leicester, a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Marketing from BCA College.
