Chandima Samarasinghe

Chandima Samarasinghe has a strong work experience in the banking industry, starting in 1992 with Sampath Bank as an Assistant Branch Manager. Chandima then moved on to Nations Trust Bank PLC in 2000 as a Senior Manager in Treasury Risk Management, where they worked until 2016. In 2016, they joined Cargills Bank Limited as the Head of Internal Audit, a role they held until 2019 when they transitioned to the position of Assistant General Manager of Internal Audit. Chandima is currently working at Union Bank of Colombo as a Vice President, starting in April 2023.

Chandima Samarasinghe completed an MBA in Business Administration and Management from the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, from 1994 to 1998, Chandima attended the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka and obtained an AIB degree. In 1993 to 1997, Chandima also pursued a degree in ACMA, CGMA from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK). For their undergraduate education, Chandima attended Ananda College Colombo 10 from 1981 to 1988, completing their Advance Level education. Additionally, Chandima obtained several certifications in different subjects, including cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
