Anson Tjing currently serves as a Human Relations Commissioner for the City of Union City, a position held since July 2019, while also working as a Realtor at Coldwell Banker since October 2018. Anson gained experience as a Student Athletic Trainer at Biola University from August 2016 to May 2018. Anson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science, along with a minor in Bible/Biblical Studies, both earned from Biola University between 2014 and 2018. Anson completed high school education at James Logan High School, graduating with a High School Diploma in 2014.

Our goal is to provide excellent public service and safety to everyone who lives, works, or plays in Union City. We think this is an awesome place to live, but not just because we're centrally located just minutes away from SF and Silicon Valley, or because of our ubiquitous public transit opportunities, or even because of our gorgeous weather throughout the year. Every single one of our residential neighborhoods is within a 10-minute walk of a public park or tot lot. We're also close to a number of regional and state parks. We have three farmers' markets and a city-managed community garden, TONS of ethnic restaurants and markets, and so many opportunities for growth.
