Marianna B. Ganapini

Marianna B. Ganapini is currently the Chair of the Philosophy Department and Associate Professor of Philosophy at Union College, where research focuses on reasoning, ethics of social media, critical thinking, disinformation, and conspiracy theories. Ganapini co-founded Logica.Now, which emphasizes learning and development in conjunction with governance and responsible AI. As Faculty Director and Instructional Designer at the Montreal AI Ethics Institute, Ganapini curates the State of AI Ethics Report and engages in research on disinformation. Recent roles include serving as Visiting Faculty at New York University and a Visiting Fellow at the University of Notre Dame's Tech Ethics Lab. Previously, Ganapini was a Steering Committee Member at Countdown Capital, collaborating with thought leaders on ethics-related services, and held positions at The Johns Hopkins University as an Allen Grossman Teaching Fellow and Instructor, focusing on writing and critical thinking instruction. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Philosophy from The Johns Hopkins University and participation in a Project-Based Learning Workshop at New York University.
