Martin Komnacky

Martin Komnacky is an experienced investment professional currently serving as an Investment Associate at UNIQA Ventures since October 2023, focusing on Series A investments in various sectors, including FinTech and HealthTech. Previously, Martin worked as a Venture Scout at First Momentum Ventures, identifying promising startups in the DACH region. Martin's background includes macroeconomic analysis for the European Commission, where responsibilities included preparing forecasts and financial monitoring, as well as serving as a Development Finance Analyst for Austria’s Ministry of Finance. Additional experiences encompass a Schuman Traineeship at the European Parliament, a Graduate Research Assistant role at the London School of Economics, and internships at the Permanent Representation of Austria to the EU and Kotax Versicherungssysteme GmbH. Martin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Economics, and Social Sciences from WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) and has completed an exchange semester at Université Paris Dauphine.
