Steven is an Electrical Engineer at UTS, and has been designing software for computers and embedded systems for over 5 years, both professionally and personally. His extensive knowledge of embedded systems has been integral in the design of safety-critical systems used in electric and hybrid-electric vehicles designed by UTS. He has designed battery management systems (BMS) for large battery packs that work on multiple battery chemistries, as well as the control software for vehicle master event controllers (VMECs). He is able to think at both a system and component level, a necessity when developing communications and tying together the various sub-systems and components that make up a vehicle. He is also a capable leader, able to guide his team to complete tasks and exceed customer expectations. Steven graduated top of his class with a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Stony Brook University.
