ICT Project Manager at Uni Systems

Nikos Asimakis has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Nikos started their career as a Junior Researcher at the National Technical University of Athens, School of Electrical & Computer Engineering in 2007. From 2010 to 2011, they served as a Telecom Systems Manager and Computer/Network Operator for the Hellenic Air Force during their mandatory military service.

After completing their military service, Nikos joined Nokia in 2013 as an R&D Engineer, where they were responsible for testing software programs and integrating mobile Core Network elements into Telco Cloud environments. Nikos also established lab environments and handled error handling and system communications.

In 2011, Nikos returned to the National Technical University of Athens as a Post Doctoral Senior Researcher until 2013, conducting research in their field of expertise.

From 2016 to 2022, Nikos worked at COSMOTE Mobile Telecommunications S.A., initially as a Project Manager, where they led IT/Digital Transformation projects and served as an Agile SCRUM MASTER. Nikos also participated in innovation and technology events such as the COSMOTE HACKATHON and received recognition as a COSMOTE CX Ambassador.

Currently, Nikos holds the position of ICT Project Manager at Uni Systems, starting in 2022.

Nikos Asimakis has an extensive education history. Nikos obtained their Engineer's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Patras, where they studied from 2000 to 2005. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens from 2005 to 2007.

Continuing their academic journey, Nikos went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. Nikos completed their Ph.D. studies from 2007 to 2010.

In 2015, Nikos expanded their educational background by pursuing an Executive MBA at the Athens University of Economics and Business. Nikos successfully completed the program in 2017, focusing on Business Administration and Management, General.

In addition to their educational accomplishments, Nikos has also obtained several certifications in the field of Scrum. Nikos earned the Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org in September 2021, followed by the Professional Scrum Master™ II (PSM II) certification in June 2022. Furthermore, they obtained the Professional Scrum Product Owner™ I (PSPO I) and Professional Scrum Product Owner™ II (PSPO II) certifications from Scrum.org in July 2022.
