Laura Harvey

Laura Harvey is an accomplished academic and professional in the fields of veterinary nursing and animal health. Currently serving as the Interim Head of School for Environmental and Animal Sciences and an Associate Professor at Unitec, Laura has held various roles from Lecturer to Academic Programme Manager in Applied Animal Health since 2013. Laura is also a co-editor for Perspectives in Animal Health and Welfare, while actively contributing as a Board Member for Healthy Pets NZ and a committee member for the New Zealand Veterinary Nursing Association. With a rich background in veterinary nursing management and education, including an MSc in Advanced Practice in Veterinary Nursing from the University of Glasgow, Laura has played a pivotal role in developing unified programs in animal health care and veterinary nursing at Te Pūkenga.
