Jim Edwards

Jim Edwards has several decades of work experience in the banking and insurance industries. Jim served as the CEO of United Bank Corporation from 2002 onwards and held various leadership positions within the company, including Bank President, Division President, and Vice President. Prior to their role at United Bank Corporation, Jim worked at Aetna as a Health Sales Manager and Sales Representative. Currently, they hold the position of Immediate Past Chair at the American Bankers Association.

Jim Edwards has a diverse education history that includes multiple degrees in finance and business. Jim began their academic journey in 1983 at Emory University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Finance & Marketing. Following this, they pursued further education at The American College of Financial Services from 1988 to 1989, graduating with a degree in Insurance (CLU). In 1989, they continued their studies at the same institution and earned a degree in Financial Planning/Insurance (ChFC) in 1990. Jim then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, where they studied from 1991 to 1993. Lastly, in 1994, they attended the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking and obtained a Graduate degree in Banking.
