Job description

We are looking for an Executive who will be supporting the overall account team performance in regard to client service. Along the way, they need to be able to understand Edelman’s various consulting processes/approaches and capabilities, including public engagement, message workshops, master narrative assignments, brand engagement, and stakeholder mapping exercises, and will recommend them appropriately to clients and lead teams on plan implementation.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead and projectmanage day-to-day delivery of work and team (direct report) and be responsible for flawless execution of communications strategies on various projects.
  • Work with account lead to draft proposals, budgets, and timelines.
  • Work with account lead to develop strategic, creative ideas for campaigns and programs.
  • Knowledge in influencer engagement is a plus. Manage online communities and interact with consumers and influencers on clients’ behalf via social media platforms is also a plus.
  • Proofread and/or review activity reports and status reports/documents for clients.
  • Troubleshoot client issues: address client issues effectively, accurately, and thoughtfully.
  • Prepare and/or review activity/status reports for clients.
  • Understanding of core financial contracts: revenue, profitability, pricing structures (hourly, retainer, and fixed fee), budgeting and forecasting.
  • Track and manage project financials with support from the team lead.
  • Manage/support day-to-day client budget issues with their team lead.
  • Ability to work across cross-discipline teams to drive integration is expected.

What's required of you:

  • Minimum of two years of working experience in corporate communications/public relations field/corporate client servicing field/editorial field.
  • Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.
  • Agency work experience is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in managing own client accounts and/or leading client day to day communication and execution.
  • A natural interest in Health-related topics, able to grasp and digest new information/facts fast.
  • Experienced in managing media and understands the ins and outs of the health landscape, features and news media across all vernaculars.
  • Good understanding and hands-on experience on digital platforms and storytelling is critical.
  • Strong organizational skills, results-driven and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
  • Resourceful problem-solving skills; a quick learner with a strong sense of curiosity and accountability
  • Able to take initiative and to work independently and within a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Good understanding of online media outreach, experience, and initiative in developing/supporting appropriate media strategies.
  • Proven client servicing skills, including demonstrating understanding of how to manage and operate client accounts.
  • Solid writing, editing and content creation skills.
