Tolu Oni

Tolu Oni has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of cyber security and IT compliance.

From 2019, Tolu Oni has been working at the United Farmers of Alberta Co-operative Limited. Currently, they hold the position of Director, Cyber Security & IT Compliance. Prior to this role, they served as Manager, Cyber Security & Governance and Manager, Cyber Security. In these roles, Tolu was responsible for various aspects of security operations, architecture, cloud security, IT governance, Identity & Access Management (IAM), and PCI DSS program management. Tolu also led security consulting for strategic initiatives.

Before joining United Farmers, Tolu Oni worked at the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) starting from 2015. Tolu held the position of Manager, Cyber Security & Risk, where they managed a team focused on security program management, risk management, compliance & security assurance, and more. Tolu also represented the organization on working groups. Prior to this, they were an Information Security Specialist at AER, contributing to threat modeling, security architecture, technical security assessment, incident response, and more.

Tolu Oni's work experience includes a role as Senior Advisor, IT Risk & Compliance at the University of Calgary from 2012 to 2015. Tolu also worked as a Business Systems Leader at Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company from 2009 to 2012. Earlier in their career, they held various positions at Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company starting from 2001, including IS Manager, System Support Officer, and Management Trainee.

Additionally, Tolu Oni worked as a Senior Analyst - IT Security at MTN in 2008.

Tolu Oni completed a Bachelor's Degree at the University of Lagos from 1993 to 1999. They also obtained several additional certifications, including PCI Internal Security Assessor (ISA) from the PCI Security Standards Council in December 2019, Storytelling for Influence from IDEO U in July 2019, Cyber Security and Executives from Stanford Center for Professional Development in June 2018, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) from ISC2 in April 2018, Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM) from ISACA in January 2013, PRINCE 2 Foundation from AXELOS Global Best Practice in September 2009, ITIL v.3 Foundation from the Office of Government Commerce in April 2009, Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (CISSP-ISSAP) from (ISC)² in December 2008, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in May 2008. They also have certifications in AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), and Certified Information Security Manager, but the specific dates of obtaining these certifications are unknown.
