Patrick O' Connell

Patrick O'Connell has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Patrick is currently the Head of Finance at United for Care, where they are involved in re-imagining disability living. Prior to this role, they worked at the University of Technology Sydney as the Head of Financial Controls and Transformation, and later as a Senior Finance Partner. Patrick also served as the Company Director and Company Secretary at 2ser.

Patrick's experience in the healthcare sector includes managerial positions at St Vincent's Health Network Sydney and St. Vincent's & Mater Health Sydney, where they oversaw accounting and treasury functions. In addition, they have worked as a Senior Group Accountant at Ingenia Communities Group, where they were responsible for financial reporting, treasury management, and tax compliance.

Before transitioning to the healthcare industry, Patrick gained experience in finance and auditing roles at Kingspan Group PLC, Grant Thornton Ireland, and HSM Accountants. Overall, Patrick O'Connell has demonstrated expertise in financial management, transformation, and control, with a strong focus on accounting and treasury functions.

Patrick O'Connell obtained their BA Hons degree in Accounting and HR from the National College of Ireland, where they studied from 2003 to 2006. Following this, they pursued further education at Chartered Accountants Ireland, completing their FCA (Fellow Chartered Accountant) degree between 2006 and 2009.
