Tuoyu Cao

Tuoyu Cao serves as Vice President of the MR Business Unit at United Imaging Healthcare since March 2017, where responsibilities include overseeing PET/MR and imaging-guided therapy solutions. Tuoyu leads a cross-functional team of over 50 scientists and engineers in various roles, including Senior Scientist, Principal Scientist, Senior R&D Manager, and R&D Director, focusing on the development of advanced technologies in medical imaging and therapy systems. Prior experience includes serving as Lead PET/MR Systems Engineer at GE Healthcare and as a Research Intern at Canon Medical Research USA. Tuoyu began a research career at Brookhaven National Laboratory, contributing to PET and PET/MRI research and detector modeling. Tuoyu holds a PhD in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Fudan University.
