Systems Engineer - Artemis Integration Lead, Ground Software & Telemetry at United Launch Alliance

Matthew Watson, PMP has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Matthew is currently working at United Launch Alliance (ULA) as a Systems Engineer - Artemis Integration Lead, Ground Software & Telemetry. Prior to joining ULA, Matthew worked at Northrop Grumman as a Senior Principal Systems Engineer - Sentinel Support Systems Integrator and later as a Principal Systems Engineer - Sentinel Explosives Safety. Matthew also served in the US Army as an Infantry Officer and a Cadet, starting in 2013 and ending in 2021. Additionally, Matthew worked as a Data Analyst at U.S. Army CCDC Soldier Center for a brief period in 2015.

Matthew Watson, PMP, has a strong educational background in the fields of mechanical engineering, aerospace focus, and systems engineering. Matthew received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with an Aerospace Focus from the United States Military Academy at West Point in the years 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned a High School Diploma from Hartselle High School between 2010 and 2013.

In terms of additional certifications, Matthew obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in May 2022. Matthew also holds a certification as a Certified SAFe 5 Product Owner/Product Manager from Scaled Agile, Inc., which they obtained in January 2023. Additionally, they have the CompTIA Security+ certification from CompTIA, obtained in August 2021. Matthew's educational background is further supplemented by their achievement of the Fundamentals of Engineering: Mechanical certification from NCEES in February 2017.
