Paul O'Loughlin has extensive work experience in the field of architecture and design. Paul started their career at Falconer Chester Hall in 2005 and then moved on to SMC DTR Ormrod as an Architect. In 2007, they joined Aedas as a Project Architect and later worked at Owen Ellis Architects as a Senior Architect. In 2012, they founded their own architecture firm called O'Loughlin Architects ltd and served as the Director until 2015. From 2015 to 2018, they worked at ENGIE - UK & Ireland as a Design Coordinator. Paul then joined McGoff Construction Limited as a Design Manager from 2018 to 2020. After that, they worked at o'architecture as a Design Manager/Architect. In 2021, they joined Anwyl Partnerships as a Design Manager and currently, in 2022, they are working as a Pre Construction Design Manager at United Living Group.

Paul O'Loughlin's education history includes obtaining a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Hons degree in Architecture, with a focus on RIBA Part 1, from Oxford Brookes University. This occurred between 1992 and 1995. Paul then pursued further education at the University of Liverpool, where they earned a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree with a specialization in RIBA Part 2, spanning from 1996 to 1998. Following this, they attended the Royal Institute of British Architects for the 1998-1999 academic year, completing an Advanced Diploma in Professional Practice in RIBA Part 3.
