Rev. James Lee has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Rev. James is currently serving as the Director of Communications at the United Methodists of Greater New Jersey since 2022. Prior to this, they were the Lead Pastor at Wesley United Methodist Church in South Plainfield, NJ from 2018 to 2022. Rev. James also served as the Lead Pastor at Conklin United Methodist Church from 2017 to 2018. Rev. James Lee's earlier roles include Manager of Visual Communications at The United Methodist Church of Greater New Jersey Annual Conference from 2016 to 2018 and Associate Pastor/Youth Pastor at Calvary Korean United Methodist Church from 2011 to 2015. Before entering into ministry, they worked as a Pharmacy Technician at CVS Pharmacy from 2008 to 2012. Additionally, Rev. James Lee has experience as a cinematographer and editor, owning their own company, James Lee Films, LLC, from 2012 to 2018, and working as a Cinematographer/Editor at Wonton Creations LLC from 2007 to 2012.
Rev. James Lee received their Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree in Theology/Theological Studies from Drew University in 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology, General from Rutgers University in 2011. Rev. Lee completed their high school education at Madison High School from 2002 to 2006. In addition to their academic qualifications, they also obtained certifications in Color Correction, Cinematography, Main Feature Editing, Cinematography, and Editing Courses from Michael Y. Wong and Stillmotion in 2014 and 2012 respectively.
