Ali Somo is an experienced Public Information Officer at the United Nations Assistance Mission in Somalia (UNSOM) since November 2016, following previous roles within the organization, including Human Rights Monitor from October 2014 to July 2015. Ali has also served as an English Instructor at City University of Mogadishu from September 2015 to October 2016 and taught Business English and Communication at Mogadishu University from September 2013 to February 2014. Ali holds a Master of Arts in Media & Public Relations from the University of Leicester (2017-2019) and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with minors in Communication and Sociology from the University of Nairobi (2009-2012).
