Andrei Covatariu

Andrei Covatariu is an accomplished professional in energy policy and climate mitigation, currently serving as a Nonresident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council and the Director of Energy and Climate Mitigation at the Climate and Water Initiative. Covatariu holds significant roles at the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, co-chairing the Digitalization in Energy Task Force and serving as Vice-Chair of the GE on Energy Efficiency. Throughout a diverse career since 2015, contributions have been made to several organizations, including the Energy Policy Group, where leadership in research and educational initiatives has been demonstrated. Covatariu co-founded ECERA, advises PPC S.A., and maintains a position as an Associate Lecturer at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies. Educational achievements include a Master of Public Policy from the University of Oxford and multiple degrees in Nuclear Engineering and Business Management.
