Andie Fong Toy

Andie Fong Toy currently serves as the Head of the ESCAP Subregional Office for the Pacific at the United Nations ESCAP, a position held since August 2022. Previous roles include Labour Mobility Adviser at the Australia Pacific Training Coalition from August 2018 to August 2021, and regional and international consultant from June 2017 to August 2018. Andie Fong Toy also held significant positions at the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat, including Deputy Secretary General from May 2011 to May 2017, where responsibilities included leading on political, security, governance, economic policy, and trade issues, and Director from May 1994 to January 2009, focusing on political security, human rights, and legislative drafting. Early career experience includes serving as a Legal Officer at the Association of University Staff and as a Research Assistant for Professor Tony Angelo. Educational qualifications include a Masters in International Relations from Deakin University and a Bachelor of Laws from Victoria University of Wellington.
