Soomi Ro

Soomi Ro currently serves as the Director of Administration for the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP), a position held since June 2021. With a robust background at the United Nations spanning from 1995 to 2021, Soomi Ro has taken on various roles including Chief of Service, Chief of Section, and Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary-General. Prior experience includes positions as an Engineering Officer in UN Peacekeeping and a Project Lead for UNAMID. Soomi Ro's professional journey began as an Assistant Architect at Kunwon planners, architects, & engineers, ltd., followed by roles in architecture and research. Soomi Ro holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and a Master of Architecture from the National University of Singapore, along with an Advanced Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply.
